Richard Petty Motorsports

 I read this past week where Richard Petty Motorsports found the financing to break away from the Gillettes. I suppose from a historical standpoint, this is a good thing...but I don't see where it's going to put them in contention like all the analysts are predicting. A.J. Allmendinger and Marcos Ambrose are good drivers, but neither is of the same caliber as, say, Jimmie Johnson. Perhaps somewhere down the road they will be, but for now, don't expect much from the 9 or 43.
